Brands built on who you are.

Brand architecture, positioning, naming, and identity systems for complex organizations with multiple audiences.

The approach

Identity first, logo second.

Most brands are decorated. Ours are excavated. We start with the MAP to surface what actually makes your organization excellent, then build the brand system that carries it: architecture, naming, visual identity, and the internal culture work that makes it stick.

This matters most for organizations with many audiences and high stakes. A school network talks to parents, funders, and teachers. A manufacturer talks to airlines, regulators, and recruits. One identity has to hold it all together.

What you get
  • Brand architecture and sub-brand systems
  • Positioning and messaging platforms
  • Naming and nomenclature
  • Visual identity systems
  • Culture, recruitment, and employer brand
  • Brand guidelines your team will actually use

Identity first, logo second.

Most branding projects start with design. Ours start with who you actually are. Every brand engagement begins with the Messaging Alignment Plan, our framework for surfacing organizational identity, mapping audience needs, and writing the messaging infrastructure that makes every downstream investment perform.

We focus on brand identity, not just the initial logo. A mark without a message behind it is decoration. When strategy comes first, the visual system has something true to express, and it holds up years later.

And because a brand only works if people carry it, our process is collaborative by design. Stakeholder feedback is collected at every step, so adoption is built in before launch day.

How it works

The process, step by step.

01

The MAP

Immersion sessions, stakeholder interviews, and our Perceived Marketing Effort audit surface your identity, audiences, value proposition, and 3-5 messaging pillars that anchor everything that follows.

02

Direction

Visual direction boards translate the strategy into possible worlds: typography, color, tone, and references we react to together before anything is designed.

03

Concept + naming

Identity concepts, typically two strong directions with rationale. Naming work follows documented criteria: competitor research, URL and registry searches, value alignment, scalability, and how it plays with a future logo.

04

Testing + refinement

We collect structured feedback from the people who will live with the brand, and when the words matter most we test them with real audiences before committing.

05

Standards + rollout

A complete brand standards system: logo usage, type, color, iconography, photo style, voice guidance with phrases to use and avoid, plus team talking points so everyone can tell the same story. Then organizational adoption and strategic rollout.

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

The MAP is CURE's proprietary framework for surfacing organizational identity, mapping audience needs, and creating the messaging infrastructure that makes future marketing investments perform. You get a complete MAP report, a leadership alignment session, and a phased investment roadmap with sequencing guidance.

The MAP itself typically runs about four weeks. A full engagement with identity work usually lands in the five to eight week range depending on naming and the size of your stakeholder group.

Plan on roughly 12 to 15 hours across the engagement: an immersion session, breakout conversations, and structured feedback rounds. We do the heavy lifting between sessions.

No. The MAP is designed to be useful regardless of who executes downstream work. Most clients keep going with us because the roadmap makes the next step obvious, but there is no obligation built in.

Typically two strong directions with full rationale, refined through feedback rounds. When a decision is high-stakes we can add a structured testing panel.

Yes. When one word can change how an entire audience receives you, we test it. For one national client we tested key terminology with a real audience panel, and the winning phrase became the standard across their industry.

Where it starts

Every engagement starts with the MAP.

Discovery, Alignment, Activation. The Messaging Alignment Plan makes sure the work is built on who you actually are, not a template.
